Although I missed the screenings of �American Teen� at this year�s Sundance Film Festival, believe me�.I heard a ton about it. All my fellow online writers were talking about Director Nanette Burstein�s film during the fest, and it ended up winning the Documentary Directing Award. Clearly, many others also enjoyed what most describe as a real life �Breakfast Club.�
If you haven�t heard of the film�.�American Teen� follows the lives of four teenagers during their last year of High School in small town Indiana. But instead of focusing on one group of teens, Director Nanette Burstein�s film follows a jock, the popular girl, the artsy girl and the geek. From what I�ve read, the film unfolds in many surprising ways and we�re given an intimate portrayal of real life high school. And I have to say�after watching this excellent trailer, I�m very mad that I missed the screenings at Sundance.
